A UNIQUE PHILOSOPHICAL VANTAGE POINT ON MENTAL HEALTH

a synopsis

     Informed researchers, practitioners, policy makers... in the U.S. and in other countries unceasingly advocate caution concerning widespread misapplication of the terms in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. A large number of false positive misdiagnoses resulting from indiscriminate use and classification practices leaves much to be desired. Most problems in human functioning result from the interplay of person and environment; in other words, the environment can trigger many emotional and psychological problems that are not caused or perpetuated by pathological/physiological factors.

   Innovatively utilizing music as an apparatus (i.e., non-therapeutically), RHAM’s empirical research and evidence in social science/mental health uncovered that philosophy or better yet metaphysics is the actual science needed to qualify and quantify the emotional and psychological character of people, and to provide solutions for many mental health problems. Metaphysics defines itself by the questions it asks: What are we? What is the world? What is our place in it? In short, it is the personal identity across time. A personal identity determines how the environment is perceived, managed, compartmentalized... and has a reciprocal relationship with the central nervous system. An imbalance within the reciprocal interaction is conventionally characterized as anxiety, depression, anger, attention deficit disorders, etc.

RHAM is part of a complex web of social scientists and institutions solely responsible for moving our nation forward with Healthy Minds. Its duty is to work with the nation’s future. RHAM does this by molding its evidence-based methodology into a preventive measure to help disadvantaged children develop the psychological and emotional freedom to ethically navigate the world.

RHAM has identified that 1 out of 37 disadvantaged children display what has been termed the Great Spirit Propensity (GSP). F. W. Nietzsche’s definition of a GSP is a person who is above and beyond good and evil, an “Overman”. To RHAM, a Great Spirit is an individual with the active ingredients for an intensive dialectical process of exploration and rationalization about the real world. We provide the environment and resources for a child with GSP to self-develop into a highly productive government, business, community, military… leader or simply a highly productive citizen. One of the most effective and inexpensive means to help our nation reach its full potential is to identify and nurture children with GSP, as well as activate children who are predisposed with GSP.

Secondary operating hours are designated to accommodate community hours for all ages, help facilitate solutions for parents/guardians as needed and work on various projects with the disadvantaged community. Accordingly, the following hours are based on an appointment only factor:

Monday-Friday available hours 8am-12pm & 4pm-8pm

Saturday & Sunday available hours 9am-5pm



MISSION STATEMENT

The utility of music provides RHAM the opportunity to aid in the American struggle for a better tomorrow.

    Our guiding principles were adopted from George Washington Carver’s eight cardinal virtues:

• Neither look up to the rich nor down on the poor.
• Lose, if need be, without squealing.
• Win without bragging.
• Always be considerate of women, children, and older people (ALL PEOPLE).
• Be too brave to lie.
• Be too generous to cheat.
• Take your share of the world and let others take theirs.

Due to the dire conditions of the national system. RHAM's mission is divided into three layers.

Tertiary Layer:

To help the nation promote mental health awareness by utilizing elements of our empirical research and evidence.

Secondary Layer:

To provide resources for the disadvantaged community in general.

Primary Layer:

To identify and nurture disadvantaged children with the Great Spirit Propensity (GSPs).
